keep your internet connection active for ever

By default when you close a Windows session, all remote connections opened are automatically closed. Here are two cases where it is interesting to keep its Internet connection enabled:

- You host a Web server, FTP, etc. ... and you want to work with another user profile.

- Several of you use the same PC and you do not want to have to reconnect with each new logon.

So here's how to keep your Internet connection active:

Click the Start button and choose Run

In the window that appears, type regedit and confirm by clicking the OK button

Once in the registry looking for key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \
Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon

Add a new value type called STRING KeepRasConnections and put "1" in the Value data field

How to find the IP address of the email sender in Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, AOL, etc

How to find the IP address of the email sender in Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, AOL, etc

When you receive an email, you receive more than just the message. The email comes with headers that carry important information that can tell where the email was sent from and possibly who sent it. For that, you would need to find the IP address of the sender. The thread can help you find the IP address of the sender.
Note that this will not work if the sender uses anonymous proxy servers.
Also, note that if you receive an email sent from a Gmail account through the web browser, you may not be able to find the real IP address because Google hides the real IP address of the sender. However, if someone sends you a mail from his/her Gmail account using a client like Thunderbird, Outlook or Apple Mail, you can find the originating IP address.
Let us begin this. First of all, the IP address is generally found in the headers enclosed between square brackets, for instance,[129.130.1.1]

Finding IP address in Gmail
1. Log into your Gmail account with your username and password.
2. Open the mail.
3. To display the email headers, Click on the inverted triangle beside Reply. Select Show Original.
4. Look for Received: from followed by the IP address between square brackets [ ].

Received: from [69.138.30.1] by web31804.mail.mud.yahoo.com

5. If you find more than one Received: from patterns, select the last one.
6. Track the IP address of the sender using any IP tracker

Finding IP address in Yahoo! Mail

1. Log into your Yahoo! mail with your username and password.
2. Click on Inbox or whichever folder you have stored your mail.
3. Click on the Subject of the email you want to track and right-click. Select View Full Headers from the pop-up menu
4. Look for Received: from followed by the IP address between square brackets [ ]. That should most likely be the IP address of the sender.
5. If there are many instances of Received: from with the IP address, select the IP address in the last pattern. If there are no instances of Received: from with the IP address, select the first IP address in X-Originating-IP.
6. Track the IP address of the sender using any IP tracker

Finding IP address in Hotmail
Hotmail has been integrated with Windows Live, or vice-versa. And the format has changed. Here is how you find the IP address of the sender.
1. Log into your Hotmail/Windows Live account with your username and password.
2. Click on the Inbox link on the left.
3. Under the column that says "Sort by", find the email that you want to track and right-click on it. You should get a menu that has something like Mark as read, Mark as unread, and so on. The last option in the menu should be View message source. Select it. You should see the email headers now.
4. If you find a header with X-Originating-IP: followed by an IP address, that is the sender's IP address
5. If that doesn't work, look for Received: from followed by IP address within square brackets[].
6. * If you have multiple Received: from headers, eliminate the ones that have proxy.anyknownserver.com.
7. Track the IP address of the sender using any IP tracker

Finding IP address in AOL

1. Log into your AOL Mail AIM account with your username and password.
2. Open the email that you want to track.
3. On the top row, click on Action and in the drop-down menu, select View Message Source
4. It opens a new page with the headers. Once you have the headers, look for the IP address that follows X-AOL-IP:. That should be the IP address of the sender.
5. Track the IP address of the sender using any IP tracker

to speed computer 10 moretimes

GREATLY INCREASE YOUR VIRTUAL RAM
This makes your computer faster by using part of your HD space as virtual RAM. ( Takes around a gigabyte of space,when initialized. but still speeds up your computer greatly!)

If your HD has less than 20GB of free space left then don't do this.

Alright, this is how you do it:

Instructions:
1. Right Click on "My Computer" icon and select "Properties".
2. Click on the Advanced tab.
3. Under Performance, click Settings.
4. Then click the Advanced tab on the button that pops up.
5. Under Virtual Memory at the bottom, click Change.
6. Click the Custom Size button.
7. For the initial size (depending on your HD space), type in anywhere from 1000-1500 (although i use 4000), and for the Maximum size type in anywhere from 2000-2500 (although i use 6000).

8. Click Set, and then exit out of all of the Windows.
9. Finally, restart your computer.
10. You now have a faster computer and 1-2gb of virtual RAM!
I did this personally and it worked great for me.

MAKE YOUR PROCESSOR FASTER..

this trick work with AMD and Intel

first go to start and then Run
and go to regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management

in the right side you will see SecondLevelDataCache clik modifier and change it to .....

writ 256 if your processeur is
Intel pentium 3 E
Pentium 4
AMD k6-3
AMD Thunderbird
Cyrix 3
Pentium 2 Mobile

writ 64 if your processeur
AMD Duron

writ 512 if your processeur is
AMD K6-2
Pentium 2
Pentium 3 Katmai
AMD Athlon

writ 1024 if your processeur is :
Pentium 2 Xeon
Pentium 3 Xeon

and 128 for processeur
Pentium Celeron
Pentium Celeron 2

THIS IS FOR NEW COMPUTER!
Actually this tweak is completely useless on newer computers, all it does is set the L2 cache size. Here's a better explanation of it:

Myth - "Adjusting the SecondLevelDataCache Registry value to match your CPU's L2 Cache size will improve performance."

Reality - "If you do not set this registry value, Windows will use the HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) for retrieval of the L2 cache size automatically on boot up. If this fails, a default value of 256KB is used. This is where the myth that XP can only use 256KB of L2 cache comes from. But it's false. The SecondLevelDataCache is designed as a secondary source of cache size information for computers on which the HAL cannot detect the L2 cache. The HAL is able to retrieve the L2 cache size from any CPU using the set-associative cache design (Pentium II or newer), it's only the relatively few older processors with direct-mapped L2 caches that the HAL will not recognize. This tweak only applies to older computers (Pentium I or older) with over 64MB of memory. On these older systems, this tweak can improve performance by about 0.4%. Pentium II and later CPUs are not affected."

Open Regedit by clicking Start>Run and type in regedit.
Once Regedit is open, click the plus symbol next to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder, the plus symbol next to Control Panel, and then click the Desktop folder icon to display its contents. In the right pane, double-click MenuShowDelay to change its value. (This Registry location is referred to as HKEY_CURRENT_USER\CONTROL\PANEL\DESKTOP\MENUSHOWDE LAY.) The default Value Data is 400, or 4/10 of a second. Change the Value Data to 0 for the least delay, and click OK. This will make menus appear instantly on your computer instead of having a delay.

================================================== ==

Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTRO L\FILESYSTEM. Right-click Filesystem, select New, and DWORD Value. Rename NewValue#1 on the right-side pane to DisableNTFSLast-AccessUpdate. Double-click this new entry, change the Value Data field from 0 to 1, and then click OK. This disables the constant updating of the dates when a file or folder were last updated. This will speed up the system.

================================================== ==

Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRE NTVERSION\EXPLORER. Create a new DWORD Value called DesktopProcess, and set its Value Data to 1.
Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER, expand Control Panel, and click Desktop. Double-click the AutoEndTasks string and change the value to 1. This causes all of the components of the explorer to run in one process, making your computer faster.
There is a caveat for some users here. Do not make this change if you are not running at least a Pentium processor and 16 MB of physical memory.

================================================== ==

Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, expand SOFTWARE, expand Microsoft, expand Windows, and expand CurrentVersion. Right-click Explorer, expand New, click Key, and name the new key AlwaysUnloadDLL. Click AlwaysUnloadDLL, double-click the Default string, and change the value to 1. Windows tries to keep some DLL's in memory when the program uses them. If a user has low memory, this can cause performance issues.

================================================== =

Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER, expand Control Panel, and click Desktop. Double-click the HungAppTimeout string and change the value to 1000. Now, double-click the WaitToKillAppTimeout, string and change the value to 2000. This sets your system up to more efficiently handle application hangups. It also will optimize the amount of time a system takes to close a program when you try to end Windows.

================================================== =

Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, expand System, expand CurrentControlSet, and click Control. Double-click the WaitToKillServiceTimeout string and change the value to 2000. This optimizes the time that it will take for Windows Services to close when the system is set to shut down.

================================================== ==

Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER, expand Control Panel, click Desktop, and double-click the MenuShowDelay string in the right-hand pane. Change the value to 100. This will cause Desktop menus to appear almost instantly.
Close regedit.

================================================== ==

Set Recycle Bin to 1-3 percent of the hard drive space. To do this, right click on the Recycle Bin. Select properties. Move the slider down to the desired amount and click Ok. By default, the Recycle bin takes up too much of your space.

Make XP boot even Faster

Microsoft has chosen a completely different path for XP and it's boot features by trying to incorporate as much support for newer fastboot BIOSes that are on most current motherboards. They built XP in such a way as to make it able to take advantage of features in these new BIOSes, and one of the coolest things is a small application called bootvis. bootvis.

Bootvis watches everything that loads at boot time, from the moment the OS begins to load just after POST (Power On Self-Test) to the moment you get to a usable Desktop. Some programs, most notably Norton AntiVirus 2002, suck up valuable seconds before you can actually DO anything even though you're at the Desktop. bootvis generates a trace file that you load and can then "see" a visual representation of what's happening. Every file, driver, hard drive read/write, etc., is recorded. You can then use bootvis to optimize the loading of files during the boot sequence. bootvis will rearrange the ways these very files are stored on the hard drive, thereby improving the boot time dramatically.

Using Computer's Internet Connection on Mobile Phones

It's a common knowledge that we can use our mobile phone's internet connection for our computer.  Many guides are all over the internet showing us how to configure our mobile phone to act as a modem for our computer.  But only few people know that we can actually use our computer's internet connection to be able to browse the web on our cellphone. I know it sounds silly since one may ask who want to browse using their phones tiny screen when they already have their most reliable laptop with them.  Well, i'm one of those in search of this breakthrough. Why? Because i'm using  samsung sgh-u700.  Getting softwares to work for this phone is very hard and costly.  You can't just download a jad or jar file then transfer it to the sgh-u700 since it won't accept it.  I want to download games and applications for free so if anyone here knows how to use the computer's internet connection with their mobile phone feel free to leave a comment.
